Are you an Inuk artist with an interest in Inuinniq topics that spans the circumpolar globe?
Inuit Circumpolar Council is seeking Inuit artists who create art in the following areas: musicians, throat singers, drummers, rap, pop; Inuit clothing designers, seamstresses, fashion, street fashion, beadwork; food art, carvers and jewellers (eg using ivory, bone, soapstone, baleen); dancers, visual arts, basket weaving, filmmakers and every other medium that you use to create a statement!
Each month we will feature an Inuit artist on our podcast – Unikkaat / Circumpolar Waves with “Inuit Artist of the Month” podcasts dropping in January 2023!
The selected artist will receive a $5,000 bursary to further their art. Applicants will be reviewed by an all Inuit selection panel.
Deadline to apply is Friday December 16, 2022 with applications opening in November 2022.
