{"id":2097,"date":"2020-06-11T14:13:42","date_gmt":"2020-06-11T18:13:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.inuitcircumpolar.com\/?p=2097"},"modified":"2026-02-09T14:59:02","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T19:59:02","slug":"inuit-stand-in-solidarity-black-lives-matter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inuitcircumpolar.com\/staging\/news\/inuit-stand-in-solidarity-black-lives-matter\/","title":{"rendered":"Inuit Stand in Solidarity \u2014 Black Lives Matter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&nbsp;June 11, 2020 \u2013 Anchorage, Alaska \u2013 In the midst of the continuing rallies, the Inuit Circumpolar Council stands in solidarity with all Black and racialized people and denounces the racist and discriminatory actions that have triggered the social revolt calling for an end to police brutality, systemic racism, and discrimination in the U.S. and throughout societies across the globe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For generations, Inuit have struggled against systemic racism and discrimination in the societies and countries we live in.
