It describes some of the issue areas that the programs in the atlas are working to address, examines good practices, and makes recommendations for supporting further development of community-based monitoring.<\/p>\n<p>The review contributes to the Sustaining Arctic Observing Networks (SAON) and was developed through a collaboration between the Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC), the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society (IBES), the Exchange for Local Observations and Knowledge of the Arctic (ELOKA), and Inuit Qaujisarvingat: Inuit Knowledge Centre of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK).
