Compensation Philosophy

A well-designed Compensation program, that is fairly structured, addresses internal equity, external equity, and is competitive in today`s relevant labour market, is a key component of an overall Human Resources strategy and a vital factor in recruitment, motivation and retention.

• Inuit Circumpolar Council Canada’s (ICC’s) goal to compensate staff in a manner that is fair, reflective of the external market, and provides recognition for the achievement of individual goals, corporate objectives, and professional competency.
• ICC’s compensation philosophy is to offer a competitive salary to attract and retain the talent needed to ensure ICC’s success (including ensuring proper representation of Inuit staff at all levels with career development opportunities).
