Representing approximately 180,000 Inuit across Alaska, Canada, Greenland (Kalaallit Nunaat), and Chukotka, the Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC) was founded in 1977. Since its founding, ICC has expanded its influence, becoming a significant Indigenous Peoples’ Organization advocating for Inuit rights and priorities at the international level.
